Class Training - Hayling Island SC

Class training is back for 2025!

We are running a coaching weekend to kickstart your 2025 season. We love sailing a Merlin because it is a development class and there are so many variations from rig/boat/sails. It can be very confusing and even the best sailors who enter the class can find it tricky.

We are helping with rig set up/what to change when on the race course/tactics/starting. All the little things that make you go fast round the race course. We are specifically aiming the training at middle of gold fleet to the bottom of bronze.

The weekend is open to everyone. Whether you are looking for that final edge for the season or are just starting on you Merlin journey. Or anywhere else in between.

Cost is £140 per boat, or £100 for HISC members (the difference is because non-HISC members have to pay a day sailing fee, HISC members have already paid an annual membership fee). The fee includes dinner for helm and crew on Saturday night. Extra meals may be booked via the separate 'Additional evening meal event'.

Accommodation is available on site and can be booked directly through the club at https://www.hisc.co.uk/accommodation/. There are also plenty of BnBs around especially as it is out of season.
