Merlin Rocket Class Training Kickstart Your 2026 Season!

Ready to hit the water fast in 2026? Join us for a dedicated Merlin Rocket coaching weekend designed to sharpen your skills and set you up for a great season ahead.

One of the things we love most about the Merlin Rocket is that it's a true development class. With so many combinations of rigs, boats and sails, every setup is a little different which is exciting, but can also be confusing. Even experienced sailors entering the class often find it takes time to unlock the boat's full potential.

That's where this weekend comes in.

We'll help you get to grips with the details that make the difference, including:

• Rig setup and tuning
• What to adjust and when during racing
• Racecourse strategy and tactics
• Starting techniques
• Communication in the boat
• All the small performance gains that add up to real speed

The coaching is specifically aimed at sailors from the middle of the Gold Fleet through to the bottom of the Bronze Fleet, but the weekend is open to everyone. Whether you're looking for that extra edge before the season begins, just starting your Merlin journey, or somewhere in between, you'll get a huge amount from the experience.

Venue: Rutland Sailing Club
Rutland is a fantastic training venue, and we'll have some of the class's top Merlin sailors on hand to share their knowledge and help you get the most out of your boat. Expect a fun, friendly and highly productive weekend on the water.
